Back with sketches and a little head-cold:)

A quiet week in Germany, time we spent with my parents, my busy brother and his busy wife. There were lots of sunshine, but at the end of the week it got cold and foggy. Went to bed early no TV no computer, read two books and did some sketches in order to finish the big draw nicely.

Two (floating:) chairs in my parent's cosy living room, lamps and orchidees on the window-sills...

My grandparents (my mothers parents) on their wedding day. On the picture they looked very young and happy in a quiet way, I liked that.

The little round coffee table - it goes off the page and it's leg isn't centered...(my husband came in and displaced the table before I could tell him that I was sketching it...then he tried to put it back in the same place it was before:) And Oscar sleeping on a soft velvet pillow - after his moring-walk in the garden!

Oh Andrea - these are lovely! Esp the wedding portrait and the cat - you so captured that cat (oh, and the orchid, and the...well, I won't list) and its ear. Sorry to hear you have a cold - hope it gets better fast. Seems the time of year for it. Husband has one this morning.

You are so good andrea, sketching on your vacation. I too like the wedding portrait. Oscar went with you!!! I know some cats like to travel. Mine don't though. Yes, hope cold passes through quickly.

All lovely sketches, I especially like the orchid and the last three sketches. The faces of your Grandparents, the table are delicately drawn and Osar is delightful (especially the ear).

Welcome Back!

I love this sketch of Oscar, especially his little ear sticking up. Great sketch of your grandparents too.

Hi there and thanks for the anti-cold wishes, colds are funny things, you are not ill enough to stay in bed but too bad to do anything useful:)
Oscar doesn't especially like travelling, neither. He likes to arrive, though, in my parent's beautiful garden...
