Greendream

Meilleurs Voeux - Best Wishes to all my blogfriends, to those who leave comments and those who just pass by to have a look at my blog. Take care. Days are getting longer now. I'm still preparing designs for the home-textile fair, underneath is an example acrylics on paper, size 50 x 65 cm. I working with mixed techniques. It is funny to observe where chance and hazard takes you, colour-choices are often arbitrary.
Have a very nice time, in between the old and the new year!

I find this intriguing...love the colors and the swirls, love the imperfectness of it...the colors are great...what had you planned that came out otherwise...would be wonderful sheets, pillow cases, hand/dish towels, clothing too maybe?

'Greendreams' - a yearning for Spring maybe? These colours are wonderful.

I hope your fair goes well for you!

Happy new year!

I love these leaves and the colors that relate (in my mind) to your hair and scarf. !! Have fun with your designs and hope the fair is a blast. Happy New Year to you and your loved ones and Oscar, meow. Suki

PS Later I saw the vintage gold and silver series on the sidebar. Gorgeous. I would like a dress of that. And the fruits sketch. I guess the spring feel is what the fashion industry is working on now in the midst of winter. Always a few seasons ahead.

Hi dear Andrea.
All these designs are so lively I wish I had all of them round me !
Yes, the work of artists is usually intuitive, but I think even their intuition has got a an inner logic... that's why their choices of forms, lines and colors can communicate with all people... they talk in a language shared among all of our hearts...
Thanks for all the beautiful things you creat making the world a happier place.
Those white lines and dots and spirals in this design give an energetic value to it, as if we can see the energy emitting from it... I like it very much...
I'm sure the fair will be a big success.

This is super lovely, with a slightly Indian feel, sort of East meets West... It would make great fabric, I'll have a cushion in it please!

Happy between-times and all the new things ahead. Happy New Year to you! Thank you for your very lovely blog.

P.S. I too just noticed the others in your side bar... they are FANTSTICO! Wow, especially the top two. What is the story behind the title 'Venice Movement' please?

I hope this collection makes you LOTS of money and success. I see your time away from blogland is proving very productive! :-)

I can see you have been very, very busy creating these lovely textile designs. These are all absolutely gorgeous -- and I agree -- they have quite an Indian feel to them. Do they contain etching? It appears so. You are going to be a HUGE hit at the art fair. You are amazing!! XO

More designs in the sidebar. I saw one y'day but don't think the others were there or I missed them. You have such a marvelous color sense if that's the word. The colors go together so well. The designs are lovely. And the happy design--so fun. I assume the design samples are on paper? Or cloth which is what i first thought. And someone who wants a design pattern for say wallpaper or cloth then orders from you or buys the design?? I know you have no time to answer these ? I'm just pondering.

Suki, with reference to you question: I take these paintings/designs to the "hometextil" fair in Francford, - textile producers from all around the world come there once a year to buy designs and to look at the newest tendencies concerning designs for furnitures, bedcovers etc, bath towels, curtains etc etc. There is one hall with only designer stands and the producers come there in order to buy the designs.

You snuck something in here. I didnt get it sent to my email box. So sorry I didnt comment sooner. I love this piece. Reminds me of some sheets I had in the 60ies or 70ies. kind of retro. But still with a modern twist. Can't wait to see more.
I liked your comment about the days are getting longer. YEAAAAAA..
I hope you have a wonderful show this is coming up soon. What a way to start off a new year. I hope it's a huge success.

Your photos on the side bar arent coming up for me to see. ;(

The one I can see does have a bit of an Indian feel about it like Elizabeth said.

And now finally I too see the beautiful textile designs on the side bar. All exquisite. Can't wait to hear they are all scooped up for huge prices!

I like the fruit too. This would make lovely fabric for quilting.

Andrea, I know you are probably gone on your trip to the art show, or packing or sleeping, but I wanted to let you know that I went again to your Gallery and enjoyed all that you have there. Truly amazing art in all the different places. Art wear, textiles, etc.
There must be new things or my memory is poor as it seemed like I saw more than what I saw a while ago when I first went there. I encourage anyone who has not yet done so to go to Andreas' gallery (see side bar on her home page here).
