We have to surprise ourselves each day so that we can surprise others.
At the beginning, there is this tiny watercolour study in my sketchbook. A "wet-in-wet" study with three Sennelier colours: dark English green, olive green, and blue ash.
Then, with inkpen and imagination: Hi there, little Miss Betty Bear:)
Have a great day,
Andrea

Incroyable !! Mon nounours (blanc) de mon enefance était blanc et avait la même tête !! Je l'ai encore d'ailleurs :)
Rhoo... c'est le même !!
Ooppss... "enfance" !!
oooh so sweet!
She is Gorgeous
Andrea, Little Miss Betty Bear is really cute and what a great way to understand how the paint flows into each other. I really appreciate your explanation of how you worked this one. Thank You!
And Congratulations on the Excellence in Blogging Award! You are truly deserving of this award...working through all of the crazy blogger blocking and all!
Marigaz, I think your use of French here is fabulous...it is part of Andrea!
Love your blotch family album. Betty is too sweet, and her outfit rocks. Congrats on award. You are so sweet to send it out to everyone. Have a sunny day. Suki
PS Love the paint names
Marigaz, je crois que mes ami(e)s anglophone adore trouver tes commentaires ici:)Oh les nounours de l'enfance:) j'en ai un aussi, un peu comme ça mais il a le regard plus grincheu que little Miss Betty Bear
Marigaz, I guess my english speaking blogfriends love your french comments here, and oh, our childhood teddy bears:) I have got one like this too, but the expression (s)he is wearing on her face is more like grumpy:)
Sue, thanks for your sweet comment:)
Genie, I thought that too, when she popped up under my inkpen, like "oohhhh, little darling:)"
Kim thanks for your sweet comment and for you nice welcome to Marigaz, who makes wonderful photographs (of New York, for example):)
And it is a pleasure to share some watercolour experiences with you!
Suki, thanks, so little Miss Betty Bear's outfit rocks:):) LOL
Oh how adorable. you have such a wonderful imagination. You DO deserve that E award for Excellence.
Chris thanks and I like to share this award with all my blogfriends:)
nounours = teddybears? what a very cool word! It fits my dog - no, she doesn't look like a teddybear but she most definitely looks like a nounour. =]
I love that you did this with those colors and the pen and ink sketch. Makes me want to go back and do pen and ink again. I used to love doing it but I have never, ever, been good at the water color thing. I just have to sit and admire.
Little Miss Betty Bear is my kind of sage. As in wisdom keeper. As in palette.
And congratulations on your Excellent Blogging award. Much deserved, mon frer. Apologies. I am no doubt doing appalling things to French. Such as referring to you in the masculine. I am an ignoramus, oui?
Tammy:) yes, nounours is like a petname, coming from OURS which is bear, and so nounours is babytalk:)
I think "nounours" sits well with a sweet little pug.. I already wanted to ask you how your little cute dogs are?
San, LOL, you are by no means an ignoramus, non, or else you wouldn't have known that mon frère is masculine:) - It feels nice to be addressed to as mon frère! I feel like an wise monk in a brown habit and a tonsur:)
oh Miss Betty Bear is such a beauty
congrats on your award... you really deserve it...
Thank you so much Human Being, from Miss Betty Bear too:)
Oh she is adorable!
