Metroheads - Sweet Youth, Young girl and Young man

NEWS:

AT MISS DOODLE's TODAY - "HOMAGE TO A.W. N°3"

The girl with the shining black hair and the delicate features - she looks out of the window even when we pass through the tunnel and she probably only sees the black walls. As if she would like to renew this sweet old dream of romance. Her bagpack is the shield protecting her from the other people...

The young man with the smooth skin and innocent looking eyes - He is fully concentrated on deciphering a message on his cell phone, (or does he play? ) eyes locked on the mini-screen, unaware of the many things going on around him. From time to time when we roll into a station, he looks up at the big blue signs outside to make sure he hasn't missed his stop...

Genie, thanks so much for visiting! I went to your blog and discovered the paintings you brought back from your week "out", and still have to visit your Flickr pictures!

Andrea, I love this girl with her backpack "shield." Couldn't she be looking at her own reflection? When a train passes thru a dark tunnel you can see yourself in the window. I guess the boy shows the change from getting engrossed in books to getting engrossed in computerized devices.

Suki, yes that could be possible! She looks at her reflection and thinks about the colour of her eyes, - perhaps she wants them to be green cause she isn't satisfied with her brown eyes, or she like the way she managed to do her hair this morning:)
And yes, the boy is representing the new passtime: fiddling with the mobile phone:)

Love these drawings. young and sweet they are. She could just be thinking hard about something she wants to do once the train is stopped and she is off.
Do you ever see the some of the same people riding with you?

Cris, good question, I have thought about that but it really happens seldom. Recently I met one man and one woman with a child whom I already had seen before, the woman gets on the metro on the same station as I do, and I recognized her and her little boy several times, each time it was a Friday.
And some days ago I saw here in a house not far from where I live, and heard her talking to a friend, in Portuguese. Many many Portuguese people come to Paris for work, often in couples and most of the time the man's profession will be painter (of houses etc I mean) and the woman's "guardienne", which means housekeeper in a building with lots of appartments...:)

Anyway, I was glad to spot her there and thought: oh, I know you:)

love
Andrea

Andrea these are amazing Metroheads. I love the youthfulness of each of these two and here is what I am wondering...

Maybe the girl is really shy, but she likes the innocent looking young man who hasn't seen her. As she seems to be peering out of the window, she can see his reflection without him even knowing it. Well, it is the romantic in me thinking they would make a cute couple. :)

As always I love these lovely people you spend a bit of your day with.

Thank you!

Bonjour Choule:)
