The woman with the black satin hair circlet - I listen to her thoughts: "If I close my eyes just a minute those headaches will go away I should have taken an aspirine before leaving but I was late anyway what if the boss asks me to be present during the meeting this morning I have had enough of these problems and wish I could find a better job what keeps me there I don't know but perhaps the time isn't right cause we have this mortgage we can't get rid of cause there are so many things to pay day-to-day oh I forgot to shut the window in the living room I hope there won't be a thunderstorm and careful now cause I get off at the next stop....."
The dark-haired man with the serene expression - Is he reading about Buddha, or does he read about the madman Kalil Gibran talked about (and our writer friend Hopper), or does he read about the life of Gandi, at least his expression suggests something philosophical.

Wow Andrea what a study in opposites here. It just shows you how each day we are exposed to people we know nothing about, but how we have learned to read the faces of those around us. I think you are really driving this home with these wonderful Metroheads! This is like a combination of art and psychology study!
Thanks Andrea!
You visit Leah at Creative Every Day, right? These current sketches and "stories" would make such a good show with her "Subway Series" - different takes on the same subject. So, do you carry watercolors with you on the train? or do you sketch and color later? do you jot notes for the stories on the train? This is all so fascinating!
these faces, all your faces, are so amazing, displaying the ranges of human emotions and thoughts and ways of being. They are fascinating. I wonder what they would look like all in a row or rows, what i mean is displayed all together. I think it would be quite powerful. You are amazing yourself Miss Doodle's secretary. :)
Kim, thanks so much for visiting, I love to do these metroheads and feel that it is what I really want to do right now, don't know why. This is the great thing with the blog, you can follow your intuition of the moment and then share them with your friends, I love this! I'm totally into this right now:) - thanks so much for your always rich and wonderful comments!
Tammy! I don't visit Leah as often as she deserves it, I'm so caught up with everything but I know she just makes these great subway series, and love it. Oh, this would be a great thing to do a show with the two different metropaintings from two different big cities in the world, great idea:)
I draw these on the metro, then take it home and colour it later, when I'm in the mood,:)
love
Andrea
Suki, thanks so much for loving them, and it is a great idea of putting something together with them, a row for instance would be great! Today I thought about it, when I have time (oh my god, when ?:) I will make prints and then handwrite the thoughts under the image, so that it is a bit like a mixture between portrait and cartoon painting, with that psychological touch. This should look good, all in a row, what do you think?
love
Andrea
What a great Idea Tammy has about the "subway series stories". I agree, it would make a great little coffee table book.
Once again wonderful Metroheads. Everyone has such cool ideas here too.
You NEED to be in a book with all your drawings. Thing is you are actually on the metro drawing people you see daily. I dont think Leah is. That really makes yours unique. Altho hers are wonderful.
Andrea yes, a grouping of portraits. Or a gathering with Leah;s subway pictures. I know your heads would be fascinating to many people and look wonderful together.
A quiet moment in our trip allows me to come in and find more wonderful colorful sketches and ponderings from your fine mind.
Keep drawing Andrea...great things are coming your way! I am sure of it.
Chris, a coffeetable book:) I love this very American word, funny that the French (or the Germans) do not have this "coffetablebook" concept:)
Cris, I'm slowly getting addicted to my metroheads, and am so happy every time I have another one "in the bos":) - there is so much to see out there with all those people!
Suki I am counting each head:)
Lynniskynni:) thanks for visiting and for your comment, I'm so glad you enjoy the metroheads! There are more to come, this is a neverending story of inspiration:)
Excuse me je ne parle pas bien english, but le jeune homme est si particulier, on dirait vraiment que tu le connais ou que tu veux nous montrer quelque chose que tu sais de lui! (d'ac avec Kim)
