She is beautiful and what an interesting name. I haven't heard it before. Is it common in France? She looks intent. Maybe she is staring at the famous movie star with longing? Love the sneakers and the pants legs. And the monochrome study. YOu have been busy. I knew I remembered some July holiday for France and now you have, in prev post, said Bastille day. Hope yours was fun.

Suki:) thanks for your comment, Axelle is not so common, she and her dad told me that it's a Danish name, I didn't know that. She is so sweet, a lot paler than I painted her here, and not sure of her beauty at all. Such a rebell and so full of tenderness at the same time. She is funny too:) I love her.
The Bastille day:) I stayed inside all day:) working on the caracter for the children's book , I'm still not there, or better, she still is not here on my page but I'm working on it.
There were big fireworks in the evening, I only heard it, and saw a bit on TV, but I'm not a crowd loving woman so I stay away from the 14th of July crowds:)
love and thanks so much for you great comments

Oh, these are beautiful paintings andrea. You might call them sketches, but to me they're paintings.Loved all your recent posts,,,,and always the commuters on the metro.I'd wondered about the name Axelle also. It's very different, but it's also very nice. I like different!
I'll be back more often now,,my pc had gotten frozen up here while you had computer (or Blogger?) issues.
Now to check on Miss Doodle,,,,,,

Cris, yes, Axelle is lovely, and quite a rebell, and she has a little rebellious black cat, too:)

Hi Babs, thanks so much for your comment, how nice to come, oh and computers can be bugging us sometimes...
I'm glad you like my "faces" I'm so cought up in faces at the moment and just let myself guide by this kind of intuitional art... The feedback here is so very motivating,
love

Love the sneakers and the monochrome. The monochrome is in the "i" world like the metro heads alone in a crowd. You Step daughter is right there sharing her soul through beautiful eyes. Your eyes her eyes are one. there is a lingering moment of warmth here of connection and communication. Wonderful! enjoy pjc
