Metroheads - Two Girls rolling a joint

First time that I saw this kind of thing in the metro at five thirty in the evening. Those two very young girls, teenagers, were rolling a joint.
They tried to look very cool, but the blond girl who did the work was beet red in the face...(though I chose not to paint her cheeks red)
so I thought that they were perhaps only showing off and it was a "normal" cigarette.
I'll never know...

They do look quite serious about the matter. My ex smoked regular cigarettes. He would save the ends in a bowl, remove the tobacco, and roll a new cigarette. Were those papers called Zigzag? Can't recall. Nice sketch.

Suki, yes ZigZag still exists I think, although my tobacco-rolling-times are long gone, sniff (no I don't sniff neither:) sometimes I'd love to smoke , but.....I tell myself that I've smoked enough in my life, so....

Well, I am totally out of my league here with tobacco and rolling cigarettes and joints. I suppose that is the positive end of being an asthmatic. I have to say, however, that being in this position has made me very sensitive to the aromas and results of the use of these products.

But I can say I really like these Metroheads! They seem to be intent on their task...I wonder if they are having to face something they don't want to face at the end of their Metro ride? I hope they wree just being mischievous and nothing more.

Thanks Andrea for sharing your daily experiences with us! It is a real treat.

of topic,
long time te breeders cut the horsetail of these work horses because they liked it taht way, same as wuith cutting dogs ears and tails,
but there is a new law which forbids taht, and thank god the young animals horse/dogs have tails again:-)

Kim, I think you are a lucky person in that case because you never went through the troubles of getting rid of such nasty habits, which can so easily turn into more serious troubles. Anyway, I hope too that the two girls will pass this without being affected!

KLaproos/Poppy:) You are so sweat to come back to explain the secret of the horses's tails to me. I'm so happy that they don't cut them anymore cause I even think that with the tails these huge animals look even better!

Incridible how you allways get these faces Andrea. Love these two metroheadgirls. They must be very young if they need to show off rolling joints.

Another good metrohead. I never smoked nor wanted to so would be clueless..:) But they should feel guilt even if it were regular cigarettes. smoking in public is bad for EVERYONE concerned.

Allright, you've gone way ahead of me. I've just played catch-up on your blog, and let me say that I LOVE your poppies!! Andrea, those are just beautiful. I enlarged and printed one to frame in my office.

P.S. The girls rolling a joint - well, that's a hoot!

PP.SS. My new header photograph is of Gourds, in case you are interested.

That's a pretty BIG cigarette. Did they light up while you were around? You would have know by the smell then...

comment on 3 posts in one...you don't need a nude model, I think as I see your work there's a storage of images. I love looking a little bit looking in your mind through your artwork

Matine: I thought they were about 15 or 16, not more...

Cris, well, they didn't smoke it in the metro-car:) But I know what you mean....

Katie-Jane, I'm happy that you like my poppies, and your gourds are beautiful. I'll have to paint gourds one of these days, or paint on them or whatever, they are such a perfect shape!

Lynn, they did not light up in the metro car:) And I never liked smoking this stuff, it made me feel out of control and I hate that...
But I love the smell, though:):)

Yvette: and I love when people do that: look into my mind through the artwork I share with them, thanks so much for your thoughtful comment:)
