Metroheads - Just Beginnings and "The three pointers"

Métro Parisien, 2 décembre 2008

As you know there are those who don't stay long enough for me to draw their entire face, I just get some hair, eventually a nose or lips, a look and off they hop.

Latenight-drawing "The Three Pointers" (no I'm not going nuts, I just tried to be very relaxed here:)

Oh yes, I love these faces. I am particularly drawn to the one in the middle...that line creating the forehead and down the nose. Of course I would catch up to that right now, wouldn't I?

Your sketchbook is fantastic! I love how you are showing this and all of the things which are trying to get out of your head. You may have just inspired me to show a whole layout of mine later today...running some errands this morning here.

Here is a Big Hug for you Today, Andrea!

Andrea these doodles remind me of voices past, really great! I see you like Picasso, you know his paintings of a girl in a pony tail, well that girl in an older woman now , several years ago I was teaching her drypoint engraving, just like Elizabeth, I still edition her prints when she needs more. Mike, oh really? This painting of Picasso has accomanied me for such a long time when I was very young, too, well, a postcard of it:)
How lovely that you know one of Picasso's Models!!!!
thanks so much for your comments and the sweet sheep who like berets:)

Great release for letting things out. I do that too. It is hard getting people to stand still and amimals especially. But one has to keep trying. good job here. :) and we learn so much reading comments. Was fun to hear about Mike knowing a model of a famous artist. I love it. Makes it more real.

Cris, oh yes, sometimes when I paint Oscar in a certain position (not sleeping) I begin and then I have to draw it from imagination cause he's already gone. With my husband it's worse (well, when he's not sleeping:) he never stands still and hates to be taken as a model. (at least, last time that's what he said, LOL)
love
Andrea

Kim thanks so much for your comment on the faces, you know, if I think about how long they'll stay BEFORE beginning to draw, then I would never get it done, so it's a game of luck:)

...Andrea, I would say it is a game of talent rather than luck!

I also think Mike may be right...Picasso! :)

Well, you do look relaxed! The three partial-faces are nice. You could go with those and give them your own imaginary faces.

It's amazing what you "get" when you are relaxed or just getting a bit as they hurry off...so much expression in so little time!
I love all your drawings Andrea!

Kim, oh luck, sometimes when I look at a painting with which I'm really satisfied, I thank luck:)

Katie Jane, your are right, they are nice basics for imaginary faces, and I'll keep them for that:)

Lynn, thanks so much for your sweet comment, I try to get as much from them as I can, and silently thank them for it:)
