Dark Mess and new Photoblog "Paris Ma Muse"

I trust you with my dark mess!

This painting was not supposed to look like it looks now at all. I messed it up by not respecting the "cycle" of the water. Once it had become something else than what I wanted, I went at it with black ink, punishing myself, thinking "oh well, now that you messed it up, you can as well mess it up completely".

I call it "Dark Mess".

Oh and: I have created a new blog called "Paris Ma Muse" with pictures of Paris, for inspiration, cause I have so many pictures but think they don't really fit in here. I'll post a picture a day, it's like a calendar. Without comments.

Have a wonderful Monday
Andrea

I like the Dark Mess, it looks like a man ( or possibly Andrea)trying to paddle their way out of a colourful cavern.

Andrea, I agree with Martine and Mike; it is a beautiful mess. I don't know what you intended it to be, but it came out lovely.
I am learning not to overwork my watercolors. It seems a little difficult to let the picture be what it wants to be, but sometimes you just have to. This turned out rather nicely, however.

One of the most beautiful "messes" I've seen!! I'll definitely stop by to visit Paris--Andrea's style!

Andrea, I think you are too hard on yourself! 'Dark Mess' doesn't look like a mess at all to me. As far as I am concerned, you did the right thing by continuing on with this painting. Maybe you could make some more messes! :) And isn't it true an artist can take what may appear to be a mess and make it wonderful...you just did that.

Now I am eager to watch your new blog...you know I love your city so much! This is a lovely gift!

Thanks Andrea

ditto to all that was said. I see rocks, water, a cave and a person in a boat and I think it all works beautifully. I like yr new blog look too. The painting at the top, the new photo blog, and also the slide show in the sidebar of Metroheads. You've been at work. Have a beautiful MOnday.

Wow. I love your Dark Mess. Sometimes messing up can be a wonderful path to something we never would have thought to create. Yours is a perfect example.

Oh I like this dark mess too.. it is wonderful. I too see someone paddling out. . . or painting themselves out of it.
I love paris scenes. I will have to make sure I see them all.
What a treasure that will be.

It may be a mess of what you had in mind but the outcome was a lovely painting! I see the person also, looks like he's in a skiers position. Oh, I would love to see Paris photos!
