Oscar, our cat, says that his life was a tranquil river BEFORE handsome devil Salem came along for a visit. Salem is challenging Oscar to no end, Oscar just want to be left alone but plays the game, anyway....

Salem porte bien son nom! Tout comme Oscar!
Bon courage pour Axele alors et bonne année!
The dance of friendship. That's what we call it. Toby and Gizmo did the same thing when we introduced Gizmo. They test eachother - who's smarter, who's stronger - who can last the longest, etc.. Once that is determined and each knows his place - the friendship begins to grow. Wonderful to watch, isn't it!
So very, very happy Axelle is on the mend. See - prayers DO work!
XO
I haven't been here to hear of your step-daughter - I do hope she is getting better! Love the cat pictures, especially the last one. Such patience. =] Then I was entranced by your exhibit slides which I also haven't seen yet - Andrea, they are AWESOME! As you might guess, the masks are my favorite...but, wow, look at the amount of work you have up! Where do you keep it all when it's not up?! Did you have a great show?
Andrea, it is great news Axelle is feeling better. I do hope they can locate the source of the problem, though. It seems like a long illness for a virus, but you never know, I suppose.
Good old Oscar! A similar thing happened when our elderly black lab needed to go and live (while we were in England) with my friend who had 2 young golden retrievers. The youngest golden was basically a puppy at the time and our lab became her grandma. One of the funniest things was how the golden puppy would carry our lab's tail in her mouth as she followed her around the house. In the end, because our dog was very elderly and did die while she was there, those goldens took the greatest care of her and grieved when she died.
Needless to say, I am sure Oscar is also looking forward to Axelle getting better, too.
I send all of you big hugs, Andrea!
Ah good news what a welcome post.
peace pjc
So happy to hear that your stepdaughter is doing better, hope those tests come back with only good news. The cat wrestling photos are funny!
oh I hope they find out what is wrong with Axelle before she gets out of the hospital. Sounds like she is in good hands and feeling better.
Yes I bet Oscar is looking forward to her getting well too. :))
Cute photos. I think it is good to shake up the easy existence of our cats now and then. Stimulates them. They need some excitement in their lives now and then too. :)
So glad to hear Axelle is on the mend and looking forward to returning home. Kind of you to take her kitty. I agree w/Cris. Probably good for Oscar to have something new and different in his life for a bit. Take care, Suki
I am so glad to hear that Axelle is getting better - it is always a relief when you begin to see light at the end of the tunnel.
the kitties are beautiful and I hope your step-daughter is getting better. Nasty tests!
i am so glad that she is a bit better. yes, the friendships on these blogs is truly amazing. ha ha two cats, i wouldn't like even one.
Andrea, Salem is just like my Sotty l had some years ago. Cats are fighting who is the boss in your apartment so salem thinks if he beats Oscar he is King. Your lucky they will live together as my Abbie would not have let him in lol.

Andrea,
Please forgive me, I had no idea that your stedaughter was ill. I'll be praying for her swift recovery. THat cat of hers is a handsome devil. Almost as handsome as my whiskey. Your masks are wonderful!
Love all the metroheads and designs. You're so talented! Have a great show.
Love Chris
Oh, I'm so glad your stepdaughter is better.
Looks like the two cats are getting along better than they could have. It could have been very messy.
Andrea, So glad Axele is doing much better. I think Oscar and Salem are celebrating! We had a beautiful black cat, Mione, who used to "talk" and boss the entire family around. Your photos remind me of his antics. :-) I hope you visit OWL blog again.
nice cats :-D
