TOADSTOOLS - CROWDED

These days I do not have the nerves to draw people in the Métro Parisien.
So I draw what comes to my mind. Sometimes the inspiration can be a word.

Yesterday, while doodling a toad in my moleskine, my mind came up with a word,"Toadstool". .
I guess I really learned this word not so long ago on Elizabeth's Blog. Elizabeth is a very talented painter but she also makes whimsical things of felt which makes me feel like a child when I look at them:).

Have a wonderful day ...

Those toads "look" how I "feel". Their body language says it all.
They all look like they are watching something amusing - what are they looking at?? Cute.

Cathie, :) you make me laugh. I think these toads are so amused cause they look at the flies and other insects buzzing, which will end up on their long tongues in a second....

I love the toadstool and love that there done in my favourite colour red, they make me feel that spring is round the corner.

Andrea, this is so wonderful and whimsical. You should illustrate children's books ;) I love the expressions on their faces a lot.

I remember the first time I saw these toadstools with the red, dotted tops...it was in a forest in your home country! I had no idea before that they truly existed. I thought they were something made up for the amusement of a child! Isn't that funny?

Do you think your time of drawing Metroheads has come and gone?

Thnaks So Much Andrea for your Gracious Sharing of Your Art!

Oh! my favorite things: frogs and toadstools (or I guess maybe toads and toadstools). How wonderful! Andrea - you are so full of delightful creations! How whimsical. I will smile all day thinking about it. Thank you! (isn't it grand how artists inspire one another? I Love what Lizzie's been up to lately too!)

These are wonderful. So very good. Yes they could be in a childrens book. Did that crazy man you encountered on the metro do you in for drawing metro heads?

Jill, I think we need these colors, (just look at your last painting on your blog, I love it!)

Mike, yes I think that the toads are giving these poor toadstools a hard time, and they don't look as if they were ready to go elsewhere yet....

Suki, thanks and I love it when my paintings make people laugh:)

Kim, this is definitely a childhood mushroom:) (oh well, not to eat, it causes hallucination and delirium!)

Tammy, today, like Cathie, I feel like those toads look, have been sitting too long on a chair....:)

Cris:) no I don't think it's the crazy man, he happened so long ago. Perhaps it is the fact that I need to go inside and not look at people, or perhaps because there are so many caughing and sniffing people at the moment, that I don't want to see them:)

Andrea, these are so FUN!
I agree that they should be illustrations in children's books.
Love the faces in the toadstools.

This is such a cute picture, I love all the expressions!
Why do you feel you can't draw on the Metro now, do people get angry?
You have such a wonderful talent, I agree, a book would be great.

What a lovely complimenet, thank-you so very much!!!!! I just adore your watercolour of the toads: a nice place to sit awhile.

I am glad my toadstools make you feel/think like a child again...that's the whole idea! They are for kids big AND small.

I am enjoying your super dragon's by the way- I'm going to make needle-felt dragons soon too...I think their colours will be inspired by your paintings!

Take care and have a good weekend and
Thank you once again.
