Suddenly: Landscapes...

©estandrea 2009

Yes, suddenly....: LANDSCAPES. It's because my dad asked me to paint this little lake, of which he had taken a photograph not long ago. He loves this lake, which is situated only a few km from their home.
So I painted it for him, which felt just great. Before that I was never quite attracted to landscape, but all of a sudden, two came out of my brush. The one I showed in my previous post and this one here.
Ahhhh, nature, country. I'm sitting here in busy, noisy, wonderful Paris, thinking of
yellow fields,
green grass, wet cow-muzzles,
soft horse-muzzles picking up little apples (and then slobbering all over my hand:),
juicy plums and the delicious damson jam my mom makes,
elegant red and white and yellow and pink roses,
naughty screeching magpies my dad shoos out of HIS garden cause he says they are bandits,
big heaps of Italian icecream,
the sun shining through leaves, giving the green a wonderful glow.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I reckon I'll be back to landscape painting soon:)
I wish you all a wonderful week,
love
Andrea

I can't wait to see more landscapes! It is fun to see the world through your paintbrush. :) Keep them coming!

Landscapes are my favorite genre of painting. It's so enlightening to see the world through the eyes of another. Bellisimo.
And fuzzy horse lips eating from the hand - is a delightful sensation!! XO

Oh what a lovely vision of your time in Germany with Family and the painting is WONDERFUL. I LOVE IT. Your Dad is a lucky man.
BTW, Thanks for the letting me know the color of La Tour Eiffle. Three tones of Bronze. Who knew!!? Now how to do that on mine. LOL
Hugs and welcome back.

All of this sounds like a beautiful holiday.
I think it doesnt matter what one paints as long as one paints.
Male Andrea, egal was. Male.
Deine landschaften sind besonders schön!

a lovely painting. i find landscape very difficult unless working from a photo which miniaturizes the actual. Sitting right in front of the scene and trying to reduce it is so hard. Yours is so fine.
