"Ausgeglichenheit" BALANCE

Seeking balance, this is what we should do, if we want a good world. When I look around me, I see that we struggle so hard, and don't easily achieve balance. Nature, if we leave it alone, does it all by herself. We interfere and create the opposite of balance for our earth, only to try to re-gain it afterwards. That's why I think it's so important to pay attention to the signals we get from the earth, to be aware of the things we can do to contribute to heal the earth and to avoid imbalance. Everyone can contribute on his/her own level, there's plenty of information out there to help us.

Walk when we can, share things, use public transport, avoid pre-processed food, use less plastic bags, the list is endless.

Ooups, when I began to write this post, I didn't know where it was going to. Now I'm getting aware of the fact that I am constantly reminded of how bad we treat our earth, so, out comes this longing for balance....in drawings and words.

Have a nice day,
Andrea

Its good advice. We are so aware of reusing things and re purposing things. We recycle too. Its such a throw away world.

Thank you for reminding us that art can give a message. It is amazing to me how many people in this country are still unaware of the crisis and unwilling to act in the smallest way...recycling.

It is important that we artists bring this message to our communities. We can make artworks that express our concerns regarding this imbalance that surrounds us. I love this expressive drawing.

this is an amazing drawing. I see two feet, a hand, but also roots and shoots, an intertwining of person and plant.

"Nature, if we leave it alone, does it all by herself." I have always believed this. that nature heals herself, heals the wounds that we perpetrate on her. Just witness a landscape that man has come in and torn down the trees and bushes and made smooth and straight. Then man abandons this land. A few years later you can return and see new growth happening and 10 years later much more new growth.

the sense of connection to the earth is easier to see when one is in the country or close to nature. harder to see and remember when one is in a city.

We are in agreement.
As for the picture I thought I'd arrived in swirl land and love swirls...seeing them living under and above ground is delightful.
Hi, happiness raining on you from me to you.

Hi Andrea, thanks for the reminder of balance. You're so right about nature left it itself finds its own balance. I feel a need to be 'in the flow' and this post has been really helpful to me. Thankyou! :)

Balance. yes. But why are we always tipping the scales one way or another? Excellent food for thought.

I love these black and white with touches of color, the balance is lovely and the minimalism is evident.
Happy late birthday to your dad, hope he enjoyed his day.

What do you mean by "Ausgeglichenheit"? I like your drawing. When I hear ART, I see definitions such as feeling, freedom of expression, meaning of message, etc. Thank you for sharing this one!
