The Old Apple Tree

I was standing near a fence on my left and the soft pink blossoms of the apple tree
right before my nose, whereas the tree itself was much farer away. I loved this perspective,
although it cuts of the sky and the earth:)

Today I feel ready for the world, got up early which means lots of studio time before going to
the safetyjob:)

Der Baum war viel weiter weg als die Blüten. Ich mag diese Perspektive und das Bild, obwohl es keinen Himmel und keine Erde hat:)

I, too, like this perspective. I also LOVE this painting. The colors really are so vibrant. I wonder if it is because of how the light falls in that particular location just above the earth's surface?

This is a beautiful painting, Andrea!

I can't wait to see more.

Peace

Andrea I love this painting too. And your painting "style" for lack of a better word. Such freedom of strokes and use of paint. Beautiful. I love apple trees. We have two here in bloom and my brother has a dozen.

PS thanks for your comment re: papermaking. I'd love to show you how. So easy. Hmm. maybe I can fly to Paris? :)

Suki, if you go to Paris, can I come too? I have never made paper before either :) I would love to learn in Paris!

"safetyjob" ? ! What a great word. I'm going to hang onto it as I may soon need one if the economy here doesn't doesn't pick up and the fuel prices go down ($4.79 for diesel today. o.m.g.)

I drove up the road to workout anyways and I still may not get to the pond wall, but I feel a bit better. Yesterday all day was "grrrrr" for me.
