Tulips1 - Mini watercolour

10 x 10 cm (3.9x3.9 inches)

My head is still away. Or my soul? Remembering the beautiful fading tulips in the sunny garden and painting them with great pleasure brings soul and body together:)

Mein Kopf ist im Garten geblieben (oder Seele?). Es hilft, voller Genuss die schönen welkenden Tulpen im Maigarten zu malen, dass bringt die Seele und den Körper wieder zusammen:)

Kindred spirits indeed- what vibrancy you acquire with your colours! Very uplifting, and lovely too. Have a great day ;)

Oh such beautiful colors and composition. This looks like a pattern for one of your fabric designs. You can just sink into it. Thanks for your recent comments re: pausing and the wall art. Namaste, Suki

Oh, love this one !!!!

This would make a fabulous note card. Or I'd love to have a big panel of this on fabric that could be made into a shade for a window and the sun would shine through creating wonderful colors in the room.

Wonderful. Yes it does look like something from your patterns. You probably will come out with all sorts of ideas now once you get geared for being back in the City.
I can picture you & Oscar sitting looking out on your Balcony remembering Your parents Gardens. :) Oscar has to adjust too.
Thanks for your lovely comments on my Tribute to my Mom post today. It was very sweet what you said.

Andrea, this painting is tremendous! I really love the colors and the composition a lot. Beautiful, beautiful work.

I understand how your mind and soul are still at your parent's home although your body has returned to the city. That is just fine, you hold onto those feelings as long as you wish. Maybe you are just basking in the peacefulness and will continue to hold onto that now.

Oh, I understand how Miss Doodle's secretary feels...stand your ground, my dear! :)

Peace, my friend!

Beautiful - full of life and color. They smell sooooo good -- I just know it! Does Oscar nibble on the tulips as does Gizmo? He emerges from the garden with yellow pollen from the pestals on his nose daily!!!

Suki, thanks and yes, I thought this would make a love tablecloth or something like that. Will do more of this kind, it is lovely to dive into the watercolours and forget everything else...

Paula, what a nice image, yes, the sun shining through these colours...

Cris, we just did this today,Oscar and I, we sat with the doors open (the balcony isn't big enough to sit on it but it has lots of flowers) and let the sun shine on our heads:)

Kim you are so right, I'm holding on to that peacefulness, and it kind of mirrors in my painting, oh how good it is to get away from time to time:)

Cathie thanks, and yes, Oscar loves to put his nose into flowers, and his teeth too sometimes, to my great pleasure...once my husband gave me 20 red roses, an hours passed and they all had their heads hang down cause Oscar bit them, he loves to do this with roses specially. Tulips not. So I get tulips:)

Lynette, thanks so much, I'm glad you like my colours, I tried to find the colour I see, so difficult...

Sue, thank you, for your kind words, if this is the effect the painting has on you, then I'm more than happy:)

I like these tulips and the garden pic of others growing there, their inspiration!
Welcome back...may you ease in gently to your return to work and city living.
I am so ready for my vacation!
It's already hard to stay at work.
So I know how you feel I think.
