The man with the long face, staring ahead, he doesn't notice me drawing him, at least he doesn't show it. I have to say, again, most of the people do not wear colours like that. They wear more subdued colours. Many, especially men, wear gray, beige, brown and black.
The Asian woman, a child-woman, with her sunglasses put decoratively on her head and the nice fuchsia-coloured tee shirt.
The woman with yellow trenchcoat on her knees, perhaps she doesn't take the metro very often, or perhaps she has an appointment with her dentist, - I find her expression a bit tense? Or is she mentally preparing for a job-interview?
The young woman with the blue cardigan, she sat down just this minute, book in hand. She is sitting right in front of me, our knees touch. She is so absorbed in her book, she doesn't see me and my pen and Moleskine. Suddenly she's blushing...has she noticed me or did she have to run to catch the metro?

Andrea, I love these Metroheads...they are wonderful! It is as though I am on the Metro with you. Paris Metro is very similar to the Washington Metro...except your stations are a lot more exciting (even the Metro Maps look similar). I love all of the colors you see and the faces are so cool. I have an idea the woman in the blue sweater saw what you were doing. I hope the other woman had an interview and not the dentist.
Oh, and thank you so much for the Positive News Link...I look forward to exploring that!
Exciting Work, Andrea!
Kim, thanks so much, I love doing those too, when I can! This morning, after a weekend of sketching and painting and sitting hours in front of the computer and not going out much, I just sat and looked. That was good too, I sat and looked and still remember lots of the faces I saw. Sometimes it's good to do nothing so perhaps this evening, I'll be ready again to draw:)
That woman with the yellow trench coat is probably worried about the strange sight she saw last night.....a beautiful young woman with a 1,000 men following her like zombies.......poisoned men !!! HA!
I love these too. You are getting more and more detail to I can see.
Maybe the lady who blushed was reading a Romance novel??? Could have been the blush? lol
PS..Yes sometimes we do have to stop and refuel. We can be so focused on one thing that we miss other things and need to SEE again.
Andrea, love the heads as you can see there character, love the pink sungasses and the lady that blushed, l think a young guy was looking at her further down and as she raised her head she saw him, look out for her as they might be travelling together later in the week.
Andrea...
I sure get needing to just sit and not respond. An example is on my blog...see last Friday's post :)
I love this blog!
Paula, poisened men:) thanks so much for your comments which always make me smile:)
Cris, oh, yes, what was she reading? If only I could see the title of the book but I couldn't...
Nice to think it was a romance that made her blush:)
Jill, this story is nice too, I know that men often like to flirt with women on the metro:) AT least that is what I saw on the TV the other day, when they interviewed women in the metro, who talked about their experiences with flirting men during hteir journey:)
Kim, thanks for your wise comment, yes, we sometimes have to leave it be:)
