Metroheads and The Big Draw - Bearded Man

The Big Draw - Day N° 3

This man had a big, soft beard. It looked soft. And he had a cane, but time was too short to draw the cane as I spent my time concentrating on the face and the beard. Two times he looked over to me and I pretended to draw doodles without looking at anyone...knowing that, of course, we often sense it if someone fixes his gaze on us. I do not want to upset people but time is too short to introduce myself and ask them their permission. On the other hand I'm sure that they feel that I love their faces...

Love his beard, hat and expression. He certainly is a large man. Looks kind of serious. I laugh when I read you pretended to draw doodles. You are the mystery metro artist. Has she drawn your face yet?

Andrea, this is really wonderful. I also love the face and that soft beard is amazing! And his gaze is really wonderful, isn't it?

Suki, you make me laugh so hard...Andrea is the mystery metro artist...the thing is she really is just that! And one day it will be an honor to find out you were one of her subjects!

Thanks Andrea for giving us a sneak preview!

Hi Andrea,
Wonderful work as usual

He doesn't look disturbed at all. How would you look if an innocent looking lady pretended to look away?

I love your portraits! Oh, I so wish I could do this.

(for some reason my blog address isn't being identified, so I'm forced to send anonymous. anyone know why this might happen?) REBECCA

I wonder if they think this is a sort of flirting and that they might come on to you...
He looks like a big teddy bear of a man. Gentle.

Suki, thanks, yes he was a large man, little though... oh that is fun: I'm the mystery metro artist:)....

Kim, oh, his beard looked so nice and clean and well groomed (do you say so?)

Cris: yesterday I thought I wouldn't draw anyone when this man showed up and sat exactly at the right place for the right time:) Such a coincidence always makes my day:)

Genie, thanks so much

martine: :) I don't know, I think I would pretend to look innocent too:)

Rebecca, thanks so much for visiting, and oh I'm sure you can do this too! Everyone can, as Betty Edwards shows us in her wonderful book, drawing on the right side of the brain...
Your drawings of fishes are just sweet and the sketch of the book you are reading is, too!
love
Andrea

Lynniskynni:) I don't think that they think I'm flirting, cause I know that I look too absorbed into drawing to be up to anything else:) And this man looked so dignified, way above earthly things like flirting.

What a great sketch. His beard is simply wonderful. It's amazing that you drew this on the metro!

Oops - that was me above ("B"). Somehow got my finger tapping on the enter key too early :)

Andrea, this is a fine drawing, accomplished with nuance. You give me a sense of this man's personality.

Cestandrea said...

soulbrush, thanks so much for your comment, Miss Doodle is some sort of essence of the metroheads:)

Cestandrea said...

Belleenchanted, thank you for visiting, and you get used to draw "around" the movements of the metrocar, and this kind of portrait only exists cause I have 35 minutes one way to go:)

Cestandrea said...

Klaproos:) I guess it was a man from North Africa, a Muslim, tought so because of his hat...

Cestandrea said...

San, thanks so much for your comment, and for visiting, I think some people wear their personality on their faces, like this man, and on others it is hidden...
