Brainstorming - New Projects

It's freezing cold here in Paris, brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. It is calmer on the streets than normally, because people all try to hurry to warm places:) and don't like to stay out longer than necessary to get there.

Thank you for your sweet comments, which accompany me through the day. I feel unsatisfied if I do not post everyday, isn't that weird? Addiction? No, it's because I'm in need of communication, and even if I don't get around to answer your comments, I always try to go to your blogs to see what you're up to, to make it a creative exchange....

At the moment studio time is shortened as I'm doing some organizing of databases etc, which is something that has to be done. I miss my studio time but I always have my "metrotime" to do brainstorming for new and exciting projects....like these thoughts on two pieces which I will do for an entry into an exhibit in a Museum in Germany, the pieces have to be ready end of February. Very exciting. I'll keep you updated.

Do you do it at home as well as at your work?

Cris, I do the data base at home, it is and it's a list of contacts, so that I can send out mailings with creative news...

soulbrush, I speak 4 languages, English, French, German (mother tongue) and Spanish, I trained as a translator and interpreter and worked in that field before deciding to be a fulltime artist-, so to speak, although this is not quite correct cause I have a parttime safetyjob, to pay social security and my art supplies and a bit of our bread too,

Andrea, I really love your sketches and am finding some overlap interest here with some of the images...specifically the squares. I will talk to you more about that later, too.

The show sounds so exciting and I am eager to see how that unfolds for you, too...I enjoyed the slides of your latest show and have these huge expectations.

Like you, I am working hard on administrative issues here...also like you, I would love to be in the studio. I am remembering, though, make a mark every day!

Thanks Andrea for all of your sharing.

Love,

Kim

The ideas are thought provoking. Growing up we had a puzzle made of wooden blocks that made up different faces. You could change the hair, eyebrows, eyes, ears, mouth and neck. It immediately reminded me of that puzzle. Look forward to your progress.

I saw the icy streets of Paris on the tv news recently. I hope you have a pair of sturdy (and cosy) snow boots!

I so enjoyed the slide show of your exhibition. We are lucky to get sneak previews of your work here.

Andrea - I miss blogging as much as I used to and I love that this year has taken off and there are all kinds of things competing for my attention. Be careful when you wish for abundance! I look forward to your latest project - your projects are always so wonderful and unique...and the metroheads seem to have just happened and blossomed into this wonderful collection of lovely drawings. Your creativity and your open loving spirit are such inspirations to me! Thanks for dropping by. Hope it has warmed up for you!
