WHAT is this strange and beautiful fruit???? Only grown in Paris?? A figment of your imagination?? I don't know what it is - but it makes me hungry for cherry pie - for breakfast. Think I'll go have some.Good morning to you Red! How is Sweet Axelle? Up and on the run again, I do hope. XO
This is really wonderful. I love the way you are able to use the colors to show off the textures of the fruit. One of the things I believe is so appealing is the painting makes you curious about how it feels...are the leaves firm like an artichoke leaves or soft like a flower's petals? Is the seedy center creamy or crumbly? You have captured this so nicely and left just the perfect amount of "wondering room"! Really nice from so many aspects.
Oh how wonderful. Now I am really hungry for fruit. But home made sauce and pasta will have to do. It is red anyway. Looks kind of like a Kiwi. enjoy pjc
Beautiful work...I particularly fancy the background on the one posted yesterday. I tore out a advertisment with a pomegranite that I saved to reference for a pencil drawing because I loved the red.

Have a Lovely Afternoon in Paris!
What the heck IS this beautiful fruit. Please find out it is driving me nuts not knowing. LOL
Again, so well done.

pomegranite? I like the close up view and the use of oil pastels which I have been using this week to little success.
You have captured the mystery fruit beautifully with the oil pastels. I am also experimenting with oil bars, are these the same as oil pastels?

am trying to think what this reminds me of... maybe a sundial.
