Landscape

Acrylic on canvas 10 x 15 cm / 3.9 x 5.9 inches

This landscape is how I feel here.

Getting up at 7:30, walking in the fields, looking at my e-mails, practising the arpeggios on my guitare for half an hour until my neck gets sore, then to town (on bycicle) shop for groceries and eat icecream, pedaling back up the hill breathlessly, preparing lunch with my mom trying to accommodate very different tastes of 4 persons (which drives me a bit crazy:) , siesta with a good book, visiting friends in the afternoon or stay in the garden on a lawn chair looking up into the chestnut tree leaves, painting mini canvases while talking to my parents (and sometimes listening more or less amused to their typical old-married-couple-bickering) listening to husband, brother, sister in law (when they are visiting), watching Oscar the cat lying on the green grass or in the shade under the bushes or roses, listening to birdsong, visiting my dear old aunt at the hospital in the nearby town, watching geese and dear in the fields and many things more.

TIMEOUT:)

What a terrific time out. Enjoyed reading this while dripping milk from my cereal spoon onto my keyboard. Love your landscape, so small and yet so vibrant! Huge in color and form. Love the flowing new banner too!

I just got off two weeks of family around and the routine was very much the same - especially the part of fixing food for different people (I had 7 to please) but also having a warm feeling and a fun time.

Have as much fun and enjoyment as you can!

Ah, Andrea this sounds like a nice time away from Paris for now. It seems we all need these times to renew our spirit and to look at and work our art in different ways. I know your parents are grateful to have you there with them, too.

I adore this small painting. It is so vibrant with great textures, colors and composition. The feelings you express come through in this small work. I am loving it a lot!

Have a nice time, relax and enjoy yourself. I am sure, you will hit the ground in Paris running!

What a lovely landscape it appears to be, the hills especially and I have really enjoyed your commentary. Bye for now. Lesley

Love how the three-dimensionality of it (not just of the landscape, but the very texture of the painting) seems to pop through the screen!

A wonderful landscape. I wonder, is this a different kind of style then I saw before. It seems as if you are expanding your creative horizon. I love it.
