Highly Artifical Christmas Paradise

Galerie Lafayette in her Christmas Dress.

Yesterday we went to the big department stores on Boulevard Haussmann, and I couldn't go into the Galerie Lafayette without taking a picture of the beautiful art deco dome in the main store. I forgot to bring my camera but my husband reminded me that I can take pictures with my cell phone, which I tend to forget:)

The sidewalks outside the store where full of people but inside the stores were not crowded at all. The overall impression is: thousands of primarily ephemerial luxurious products (which most people cannot afford to buy anymore) in a very artificial design paradise. The sheep are fun though:)

You must KNOW which picture is my favorite. I want to run and jump head first - right into that little pile of lammies. Your cell phone made interest effect on the Christmas tree photo, at first I thought it was a picture made by you. Quite nice.

Hi Andrea, this is a fun, fun post! I love the colorful aspect of the photos you have taken. I have never used my phone to take photos then download them onto my computer. Mmmm, I need to ask my children about how to do that. :) I am slow. I find the little, colorful cabinets very appealing not to mention the architecture. :)

It looks like you had a really fun weekend, though. I hope your week continues to be the same.

Hugs!

What a treat for the eyes! Beautiful to look at, I love the dome. The lamb "pile" is quite cute. My daughter informed me I could text my cell photos to my email. Now I am telling my son in college that he can do that!
